SMU Library and Computer Lab


We spent the day researching at SMU in their library and computer lab. I solidified my goal of my research topic being about Human Experimentation and found many possible resources using the SMU Online Database and saved them on my IB flashdrive. I decided to have the areas of human experimentation I'll talk about in my Essay be

• Unit 731 in Japan
• Nazi Experimentation in Germany
• Tuskegee Syphilis Study in America

I researched these topics and found some useful sources on Japan and Germany, but sources on Tuskegee are seeming to be harder to find. I plan on going back to either their library or to the Downtown library to find actual book sources and newspaper articles on my subjects.
While in the research lab, I drew out a dry-erase board Idea Board on what my subjects were and what I could discuss about them.
Overall my experience at SMU was tedious from searching through all of the databases and pdf files of journals and studies, but I found some sources that I will definitely be using in my Essay if I continue on my current track of research
